Purpose
|
Foster a connection between the student and an adult to help the child feel a stronger sense of ‘belongingness’ in school

Provide additional support to individual students to ensure students are prepared for learning at the beginning of the day and review how their day went and that they are prepared with homework for the evening

Description
|
Allows student to have weekly positive contact with a staff member beyond their classroom teacher. The staff member would spend time connecting with the student each week in a meaningful way.
|
Allows students to have daily positive contact with a staff member beyond their classroom teacher. A daily progress report using Village’s school-wide expectations is completed by the teacher and used during the 1-2 minute check-out sessions to monitor student progress.
